The Malatian People's Congress has announced that Malatian President-for-Life Xitin will be given the award of the Most Beloved and Glorified Malatian Supreme Leader.

In addition, Xitin will also take over the role as the Chairman of the Armed Forces Committee and Supreme Chairman of National Security. He is currently the head of the Malatian National Police.

According to the Malatian People's Congress, the award will be given to Xitin given his "dedication and hard work to lead many committees" for the glory of the Malatian nation.

While the war in Brikvania has reached a stalemate, Xitin was able to draw concession from the Brikvanian government to allow Malatian troops to be deployed in the Malatian Province of Brikvania, which both countries clam as theirs.

The Legonian government has set aside $2 million Brick dollars to upgrade bus stop facilities across the capital city, Legotown.

This was announced by the minister in charge of domestic infrastructure, Sir Hans Blik.

Former hardliner Legonian Prime Minister Rito Wingo was served with additional criminal charges of treason.

Wingo was escorted from prison to the Police Headquarters in Legotown to be served with the charges.

The charges include two counts of trying to overthrow the Royal Family and imposing dictatorship in the Kingdom.

Wingo denied the charges as political revenge. Shouting to reporters waiting outside the Legotown Police HQ building, Wingo said he was a victim of revenge. He urged his supporters to storm the Royal Parliament.

The Legonian Royal Police Force’s spokesman had confirmed that Rito had been served two additional charges. A further charge of being a foreign agent is being investigated.

“Our officers from the elite Bricks Yards unit are professional in their investigations. We have uncovered plots involving Wingo and his attempt to serve a foreign power’s interests", said a Police's spokesman.

Officers from the Police Criminal Investigation Department (PCID) had also taken part in the ongoing investigation against Wingo and his family.

Wingo’s son, Wingo Junior, is believed to be in hiding as he is being investigated for corruption and money laundering.

Wingo’s political party, the Legolis First Party (LFP), has been disbanded and outlawed. Several of its top leaders are under investigation for corruption involving property developers.

The city of Midea, the provincial capital of the Malatian province, has been captured by advancing Malatian troops.

Brikvanian sources said that the Brikvanian government has decided to withdraw the entire Brikvanian army from the Malatian Province as part of a strategic retreat.

Reports from the frontline indicate Malatia had deployed its tanks into Brikvania for the first time. Some 400 tanks have encircled Midea, and overran Brijvanian forward positions in Malatian Province.

Several Brikvanian units were trapped and captured. The Brikvanian High Command decided to make a strategic retreat to ensure the bulk of the Brikvanian army is intact to defend the capital.

Malatia has also launched several air attacks on the capital, Briktown. Military installations and the Briktown international airport were targeted. Loud explosions were heard across the capital city throughout the night.

The Kingdom of Legonia has condemned the Malatian invasion of Brikvania, and urged Malatia to cease all military operations and pull back its troops.

Legonia will host an urgent summit involving all members of NARTO, the Non-Aggression Royalists Treaty Organisation, which is a defence pact in the Bricks region.

The small kingdom of Suva, a member of NARTO, has requested the deployment of more Legonian troops in Suva to deter any potential Malatian aggression.

Brikvanian defence chief Field Marshal Nutyubricks visited the frontline in the Malatian Province of Brikvania, where heavy fighting is taking place.

Nutyubricks told Brikvanian troops at the frontline that the kingdom will resist Malatian aggression.

"We are defending our small kingdom against the aggressors. We are united, and we will win", said Nutyubricks to soldiers from the 1st Regiment.

Nutyubricks had also visited the provincial capital of the Malatian Province, Midea. The headquarter of the Brikvanian defence force defending the Malatian Province is based in the city.

Brikvanian troops have so far managed to hold the frontline in the past one week. The city of Midea has not been totally cut off from the rest of Brikvania by Malatian troops.

Elsewhere along the frontline in the Malatian Province, Brikvanian forces managed to repel Malatian advances.

However, many observers said that Malatia has not launched a full scale invasion yet, as most of the clashes with Brikvania involve Malatian scout units who are probing the frontline.

There are fears that Malatia will launch a full scale invasion with the 1,000 tanks along the border. So far, most of the 150,000 Malatian troops are still in their forward positions inside Malatia.

Malatian jets have bombed Brikvanian air defence installations since early this morning as fighting between ethnic Malatian rebels backed by Malatia and Brikvanian government forces intensified along the frontline in the Malatian Province of Brikvania.

Malatia had sent 5 infantry brigades into rebel-held territories in Brikvania, backed by 200 tanks. These forces have begun attacking Brikvanian government-held defence positions around the city of Midea, the provincial capital of Malatian Province.

The city is currently being defended by some 4,000 commandos and infantry troops from 1st and 3rd Brikvanian Regiment. Residents in Midea have reported heaving exchange of gunfire and artillery shelling.

Malatia claimed that its forces are just assisting the rebels to defend themselves. However, residents reported Malatian army units have moved into the outskirts of Midea from three directions.

Malatian jets have also attacked Brikvanian radar and air defence installations around the capital of Brikvania, Briktown. Air raid siren was sounded in the city at around 7 am this morning, and residents were seen rushing to air raid shelters.

Shortly after that, several explosions were heard across Briktown, as the Malatian jets targeted the international airport and the Defence Ministry complex.

Brikvanian anti-aircraft guns were in action and attempted to shoot down Malatian jets flying over the city.

King Brik II, who was in Brown Castle when the air attacks took place, was escorted into the Royal Bunker for his own safety.

So far the Brikvanian Defence Ministry said there has been no injury or fatality in the air attacks.

Between 80,000 to 120,000 Malatian troops are deployed along the border with Brikvania, backed by nearly 1000 tanks.

Xitin's order was met with condemnations from other Bricks nations. The Kingdom of Legonia said any attack on Brikvania will be met with a possible military intervention.

"The Royal Legonian government will not stand still if Malatia invades Brikvania. We will provide assistance to the Brikvania to defend itself", said a spokesman for the Legonian Prime Minister.

Legonia has deployed thousands of troops in Equanter and Suva, which are bordering Malatia. There are already 25,000 Legonian troops along the border with Brikvania, ready to be deployed into Brikvania if there was a need to.

The kingdom of Suva has announced that it will close all border crossings with Malatia as a precaution. There have been reports that Malatia has sent its agents into the small kingdom to start an uprising against the Royal Family.

In Brikvania, King Brik II has met with Defence Czar Field Marshal Nutyubrick and other security officials. It is believed they are planning for a strong defensive strategy to defend against any Malatian invasion.

King Brik II has urged all subjects to remain calm, and said that the government forces are much better trained and equipped to defend the kingdom.

The Brikvanian government announced that heavy fighting between ethnic Malatian rebels and government forces are taking place along the Line of Control (LOC) that separates government and rebel-held areas.

Government posts along the LOC reported they came under fire from the rebels. Brikvanian royalist troops returned fire, killing 10 rebels.

The ethnic-Malatian rebels denied they had attack government forces, claiming that they were only responding to attacks .

Residents near the LOC reported heavy exchanges of gunfire and artillery exchanges since yesterday afternoon.

A statement from the Brikvanian Defence Ministry acknowledged that some fighting is taking place along the LOC. However, the statement claimed ethnic-Malatian rebels had started the fighting.

"At about 1435 hrs this morning, government forces along the LOC reported coming under fire from the direction of rebel-held areas. In return, government forces returned fire, killing a number of rebels", said the statement.

A government spokesman said that fighting has stopped since 9 pm last night. There is no reported casualties among government forces.

United Nation peacekeepers along the LOC confirmed that there were several explosions and heavy gunfire taking place along several fronts. However, the UN could not confirm who had started the battles.

Malatian President-for-Life Xitin has announced that Malatia will provide more assistance to the rebels, and accused Brikvania of provoking a war.

"Let me warn Brikvania. We can destroy that small kingdom and send it back to the stone age if we want to.", said Xitin in a press conference last night. Xitin said that Malatia will not stand back if Brikvania attempted to recapture the rebel-held territories.

The Legonian Police has stepped up security measures in Legotown, the capital city of Legonia.

More police officers are deployed to patrol the streets, and crash barriers are placed in the city centre.

The higher security measures are taken after the Legonian security intelligence agency warned that foreign agents may seek to conduct attack on civilian areas in Legotown.

The Legonian Royal Police Force (RPF) began deploying armed police officers at the city centre two days ago. Since this morning, construction workers have completed installing crash barriers at the city square, the heart of Legotown.

"Members of the public are advised to call the police if they see any suspicious person or object", said a police spokesman.

According to sources in the Legonian Defence Ministry, Legonian intelligence came across information that Malatian agents are deployed across the Bricks region to conduct attacks on civilian infrastructures.

"The purpose of these attacks is to cause disorder and panic in the Bricks region", said the source.

The Malatian Embassy in Legotown has condemned the report. The Malatian Ambassador to Legonia accused Legonian media of propagating fake news.

"Malatia is a peace-loving nation, and we condemn news that portray us as war-mongers", said the Ambassador in a press conference held at the embassy.

Thousands of Brikvanians held a protest against Malatian military intervention in the kingdom civil war. The large protest took place outside the Malatian Embassy in Briktown, the capital city of Brikvania.

About 3,000 protesters blocked the streets around the Malatian Embassy. Some of the protestors later attempted to storm the Embassy but were stopped by local Brikvanian police.

Many of the protestors were angered by Malatian military intervention in the recent civil war in the Malatian Province of Brikvania. Some were angry that ethnic Malatian rebels are still controlling 90% of the province.

"We do not welcome the Malatian ambassador in this kingdom. We want him out", said a protestor outside the embassy.

Some 120 Brikvanian police officers were deployed to guard the embassy. They engaged the protestors when the latter tried to storm the embassy building.

Malatia has issued a statement condemning the protest outside its embassy and warned that Brikvania has a duty to ensure the security of the Malatian ambassador in the kingdom.

"If need be, our guards in the embassy will shoot the protestors", said a Malatian Foreign Ministry spokesman.

There were smaller protests across the Bricks region against the Malatian diplomatic missions. In Suva, some 200 people staged a protest outside the Malatian embassy in Suvatown, the capital city of Suva. Similar small protests took place in Equanter and Legonia too.

There are reports that Castonia is seeking Legonia military assistance to defend itself in the event of Malatian invasion. However, the Legonians have so far denied the report.

In Legotown, the capital city of Legonia, the Malatian embassy has deployed more guards around the clock.

According to a spokesman of the Malatian embassy in Legotown, the embassy has received credible information that the embassy compound is under threat.

"We have received information that some anti-Malatian elements in Legonia will attempt to storm the embassy", said the embassy spokesman.

According to the Foreign Security Bureau (FSB), which is a Malatian intelligence organisation, anti-Malatian elements across the Bricks region are planning to damage Malatian diplomatic missions.

Tensions between Malatia and regional states have increased significantly in the past few months, especially after the brief but bloody Brikvanian civil war in which Malatia supported Brikvanian rebels to try to overthrown the royal government.

Across the Bricks region, countries are mobilising their military as the threat of a second regional war looms. There are fears that Malatia will invade Brikvania anytime soon, and drawing all minifigs into another major military conflict.

The Kingdom of Legonia has announced 25,000 reserve troops are being mobilised. 10,000 will be deployed in Suva and Equanter while 15,000 will be deployed along the Legonian-Brikvanian border.

It is expected Brikvanian refugees will flood into Legonia once Malatia began their invasion of Brikvania. "There is no plan to deploy Legonian troops to fight inside Brikvania", said a Legonian government spokesman.

The 15,000 extra Legonian troops along the Brikvanian border will assist local police to manage the expected large number of refugees.

Legonia is also expected to deploy up to 200 tanks inside Equanter and Suva, which shares border with Malatia, along with more combat aircraft.

In Equanter, the Equanterian Defence Force (EDF) has canceled all leave for its personnel. Two EDF regiments are being forward deployed along the border with Malatia to beef up security presence there. The kingdoms of Fabuland and Caledon have also pledged to deploy up to 10,000 troops to Equanter and Suva. About 500 Fabus troops have already arrived in Equanter since two days ago.

Malatia has condemned the mobilisation as an act of war. "The imperial stooge of Legonia has spread fear and misinformation against Malatia. We do not seek war but will be ready for one", said a Malatian defence official.

Meanwhile in Brikvaia, Legonia and Equanter have reduced their diplomatic presence in Briktown, the capital of Brikvania. King Brik II of Brikvania has criticised the move, saying that it has spread panic in Brikvania.

"I urge all minifigs to think rationally and to avoid creating panic", said King Brik.

Tension across the Bricks region has escalated as reports are pouring in that Malatia has deployed additional tanks along the border with Brikvania.

Malatia has deployed between 800 and 1000 tanks and more than 1000 armoured vehicles along the border with Brikvania.

According to local Malatian residents at the border area, about 200 tanks are seen parked at a farming area about 5 km away from the Brikvanian border. These are advanced MT-90 tanks of the Malatian army.

These tanks along the border are backed by more than 120,000 troops and 300 artillery pieces. Malatia has also deployed 60 warplanes in forward airbases along the border with Brikvania.

The deployment of advanced tanks very close to the border with Brikvania is an escalation of tensions in the Bricks region.

Most observers believe that a Malatian invasion of Brikvania will take place anytime soon, given the concentration of a large number of Malatian forces along the border.

"The Malatian had deployed a large naval fleet too recently. Some 12,000 Malatian marines are being based at the port facilities near the border areas and could be transported by boats or large ships to Brikvanian beaches", said a defence analyst.

Malatia has denied that it will invade Brikvania but said that its military forces are deployed to keep the peace and protect ethnic Malatians in Brikvania.

As news of the tanks near the border became public, many Brikvanian have rushed to supermarkets to stock up on food supply. Many residents of Briktown, the capital of Brikvania, are fearful that their country will be occupied by Malatia.

"We were invaded and occupied by Malatia for more than hundred years. We just got our independence a few years ago. We urge all minifigs to help defend our kingdom", said a Briktown resident.

Several Legonian warships are reported to have been deployed to the sea. There is no confirmation from the Legonian Defence Ministry.

Four reserve divisions are being mobilised, with tanks and armoured vehicles being warmed up and ready to be deployed to the frontline.

"Our intelligence has raised concerns that Malatia is preparing to invade Brikvania soon. The invasion will be a threat to all minifigs and we must be prepared", said Sir Uquhart, the Legonian Defence Minister.

Legonian Prime Minister Sir Winston Mofty urged all Legonians to evacuate from Brikvania. "We are chartering two evacuation flights and are prepared to pull out Legonians from Brikvania", said Sir Mofty.

There are about 5,000 Legonians in Brikvania, with most of them residing in Briktown, the capital of Brikvania. Some 1,200 have already returned to Legonia.

In Briktown, the situation seems normal but tense. Supermarkets report long queues as residents are stockpiling on food and supply.

King Brik II has gone to the media and urged all subjects to remain calm. "We are working to avoid a war and are still negotiating with Malatia", said King Brik II.

The Malatian Defence Ministry has announced that an additional 20,000 troops from the Malatian 3rd Army have been moved from the eastern part of the country to the border with Brikvania.

Malatian President-for-Life Xitin said the deployment is just a defensive move.

The Malatian Defence Ministry has released videos showing the movement of troops from the Malatian 3rd Army to the border area with Brikvania. It was estimated that some 10,000 troops have already been transported by trains and aircraft to the border region.

According to Admiral Orbani, Malatian Vice-President and Minister for Foreign Affairs, the deployment is a defensive move as there are reports the Brikvanian army is planning to move into ethnic Malatian rebel territory soon.

"Our intelligence reported that Brikvania has moved substantial troops to the Line of Contact (LOC) that separates the Brikvanian government forces and ethnic Malatian", said Orbani.

"We need to ensure all Malatian minifigs are safe and sound. Our glorious Malatian People's Liberation Army (M-PLA) will make sure of that", added Orbani.

The M-PLA has five District Command - Northern, Southern, Western, Eastern and Capital Defence Command. More than 40% of M-PLA forces are deployed in the Western Command facing Brikvania, Castonia, Equanter and Suva.

The Malatian 3rd Army is under the Eastern Command, and is equipped with more than 400 tanks and 50,000 troops. According to sources, the Malatian Defence Ministry is planning to move up to 30,000 troops from the Malatian 3rd Army to the Western front.

As of now, there are about 80,000 Malatian troops along the border with Brikvania. There are concerns Malatia will use these troops to invade Brikvania.

In response to the increasing tension with Malatia, the Legonian Defence Ministry announced that it will deploy more troops to the Kingdom of Suva and Equanter.

There are currently several hundred Legonian troops in Equanter and in Suva. This number will likely increase to 5,000 in the coming days.

There are concerns among the Legonian defence planners that Malatia is preparing for a major war to reclaim its past glory.

Malatia has already laid claim to Brikvania, Castonia and parts of Suva. These kingdoms are worried that Malatia may invade soon. Malatia has already deployed between 70,000 and 100,000 troops along its border with Brikvania.

The Kingdom of Equanter and Suva are part of NARTO (Non-Aggression Royalists Treaty Organisation), the region's defence group which is led by Legonia. Suva does not have any air force while Equanter is building up its air force currently.

According to a source inside the Legonian Defence Ministry, Legonia may send up to 2 battalions of 1,400 troops to Suva, and 1 battalion to Equanter.

Malatia warned that any NARTO deployment in Suva will be seen as an act of aggression. "We reserve the right to take whatever action to protect our Malatian brothers in Suva", said a Malatia spokesman. Legonia has dismissed the Malatian statement, stating that NARTO is defensive in nature.

Both Equanter and Suva have welcomed the additional deployment of Legonian troops. According to a representative of the Royal Suva Family, the Suvanese government welcomes the Legonian troops with open arms.

"The Suvanese army will work with its NARTO members to ensure the stability of the Bricks region", said the representative.

Legonian Defence Minister visiting Brikvanian troops along the frontline in the Malatian Province of Brikvania.

As the threat of war looms in the Bricks region, Legonian Defence Minister Sir Brick Uquhart visited the Brikvanian frontline as a show of support to the Brikvanians.

Sir Uquhart was met by Colonel Brik Hasling, Commander of the Brikvanian forces at the frontline.

Colonel Hasling is in charge of the defence of Midea, the capital of the Malatian Province of Bikvania. The ethnic Malatian rebels control a large part of the province. however, government forces control the provincial capital of Midea and other farming areas.

Many observers believe any Malatian invasion of Brikvania will aim to capture Midea within 24 hours.

Colonel Hasling forces include infantry troops and members of the elite Brikvanian commando units. These forces have been well trained and armed with the latest weapons from Brikvania.

During the two hours visit to the city of Midea, Sir Uquhart was briefed about the situation at the frontline by Colonel Hasling. According to Colonel Hasling, ethnic Malatian rebels have begun moving heavy weapons closer to the Line of Contact (LOC) that separates government forces and the rebels.

Sir Uquhart expressed Legonian support for Brikvanian independence. "We will provide the necessary assistance to ensure the Brivanian can defend themselves", said Sir Uquhart during a press conference after the visit.

The Malatian People's Congress has announced that Malatian President-for-Life Xitin will be given the award of the Most Beloved and Glorified Malatian Supreme Leader.

There have been less fighting Brikvania between Malatian forces and Briknavian troops since the past three months.While Malatian troops have swept into the Malatian Province of Brikvania, they have been pushed back by the Brikvanian forces at several fronts.

The Legonian government has set aside $2 million Brick dollars to upgrade bus stop facilities across the capital city, Legotown.​This was announced by the minister in charge of domestic infrastructure, Sir Hans Blik.

Former hardliner Legonian Prime Minister Rito Wingo was served with additional criminal charges of treason. ​Wingo was escorted from prison to the Police Headquarters in Legotown to be served with the charges.

The city of Midea, the provincial capital of the Malatian province, has been captured by advancing Malatian troops.Brikvanian sources said that the Brikvanian government has decided to withdraw the entire Brikvanian army from the Malatian Province as part of a strategic retreat.

Brikvanian defence chief Field Marshal Nutyubricks visited the frontline in the Malatian Province of Brikvania, where heavy fighting is taking place. Nutyubricks told Brikvanian troops at the frontline that the kingdom will resist Malatian aggression.

Malatian jets have bombed Brikvanian air defence installations since early this morning as fighting between ethnic Malatian rebels backed by Malatia and Brikvanian government forces intensified along the frontline in the Malatian Province of Brikvania.

BREAKING NEWS: Malatian troops are reported to have crossed into Brikvanian territory about an hour ago. Journalists along the frontline reported exchanges of artillery and heavy gunfire. A further update will be provided.

Malatian President-for-Life Xitin has ordered Malatian troops to enter Brikvania to defend ethnic Malatians."I have signed the official order for our military to enter Brikvania and destroy whatever threats to our fatherland", said Xitin in a press conference.

The Legonian Police has stepped up security measures in Legotown, the capital city of Legonia.More police officers are deployed to patrol the streets, and crash barriers are placed in the city centre.
