The delivery of the last Royal class missile frigate last month to the Royal Equanter Navy marked the completion of a major naval defence development for Equanter. Since its founding, the Navy was equipped with only 10 small patrol boats, which was no match for the more powerful Malatian Navy.
The Royal class missile frigates were designed and built in France. These frigates are small but packed the firepower deadlier than their larger counterparts. The advance C4 system allow each frigate to track and engage up to 20 targets from the air to underwater simultaneously. Land target acquisition system was installed, enabling the frigates to send their missiles to targets up to 100 km inland.
The 8 Royal class frigates will be divided into two squadrons - the 141 and 142 naval squadron. They will be backed by 8 modern Lyon class missile corvettes that are equipped with the latest surface-to-surface and surface-to-air defence system. Along with the newly delivered King class Landing Ship Carriers (LSC), the REN will form a formidable deterrence to external threat.
