The day began with a military parade at the main entrance of the Royal Palace. His Excellency Crown Prince Young II inspected the Guard of Honour comprised of officers and men from the 1st Glorious Guards Regiment and 4th King's Infantry Regiment. Other dignitaries include the ambassadors from Europe, the Kingdoms of Legoland, Kingdom of Fabuland, Caledonia Neutral Territory Kingdom and Malatia.
In his speech, Crown Prince Young highlighted the security threat facing Equanter, especially in the Eastern Province close to the border with Malatia. The Crown Prince announced that "The threat from ISIL ( Inglorious State in Lego ) is real. Our armed forces must be ever ready to face the security challenges from within and outside our Kingdom, and that is why we have modernised our armed forces to deal with these threats."
Many security analysts believed ISIL, with the backing of Malatia, will attempt to force the breakaway of the oil-rich Eastern Province from Equanter. With 70% of the Eastern Province population are of Malatian origin, the Totalitarian Republic of Malatia had stake sovereignty claim over the area, arguing it has the duty to protect all overseas Malatians.
After the inspection of the Guards of Honour, Crown Prince Young II joined King William II at the Royal Parliament House for lunch hosted by the Prime Minister and other Cabinet members. The Royal Motorcade drove along the city main streets under tight security, with citizens lining up along the route to greet the Royal Family.
