Brikvania Sending More Troops To The Front

The Brikvanian Defence Ministry announced that additional reinforcements have been sent to the battlefront.

Some 500  troops from the Brikvanian 1st Commando Regiment have assembled in the main square for a farewell ceremony to the frontline. They were inspected by the Commander of the UN Forces in Brikvania.

"The Armed Forces of Brikvania (AFBv) has began its military operations to defend the Kingdom against the invasion by the Kingdom of Lego. As of now, troops from two infantry regiments and the commando battalion are engaged in operations near the border of Legolis Province", said a Defence Ministry spokesman.

Several clashes between the Brikvanians and Legos troops are taking place inside Legolis Province. The Brikvanian army is assisting the Legolis Province Home Guards who have been fronting the battles against the Legos invasion force.

The AFBv  is a small military force and does not possess any tanks and only has limited number of small anti-tank weapon and a small number of armoured vehicles. 

However the Brikvanians are known to be fierce fighters, and some of the key commanders have served in the Royal Armed Forces of Lego prior to the independence of Brikvania from Malatia. 

There are also UN forces in Legolis Province but they have pulled out of the province after failing to stop the Legos invasion force at the border crossing. 

King Brik II has requested for the UN forces in Brikvania to assist in defending Legolis Province. However the request was turned down by the UN.
