Brikvania Steps Up Security Along Border

Security along the Brikvanian-Malatian border has been stepped up after two Malatian intelligence officers were detained inside Brikvania last week. The two officers from the Malatian Foreign Security Bureau (FSB) were found with guns and Malatian flag inside the Malatian Province of the Kingdom of Brikvania.

The Brikvanian government has deployed a small detachment of army personnel from the Armed Forces of Brikvania (AFBv) along the border. Most of the border areas are not marked or secured.

The lack of security along the border had facilitated smugglers to enter Brikvania from Malatia.

Two infantry companies from the 1st Brikvanian Royal Regiment are now deployed in the Malatian Province. They are tasked to patrol the border areas with Malatia.

The Brikvanian government is worried that Malatia would deploy FSB officers in Brikvania to start an armed campaign against the Royal Family.

The Brikvanian government has also secretly deployed officers from BRIGID, the Brikvanian intelligence office, in the Malatian Province to monitor any disturbance.

​Malatia has denounced the deployment of AFBv troops along the border. “Malatia is a peaceful country. We will not start a war, unlike Brikvania”, said a Malatian government spokesman.
