Brikvanian Government Reformed Economy

Downtown Briktown - The old city is also the capital of Brikvania.

The Brikvanian Royal Government (BRG) has announced several measures to help the economy to cope against the economic sanctions imposed by the Kingdom of Lego.

The Brikvanian economy is expected to slow down as the Kingdom of Lego begin to restrict imports from the kingdom.

King Brik II has met with his economic advisers to work out details of the economic measures. The Brikvanian economy is currently based on fishing and farming, but the BRG aims to shift the economy to tourism and technology.

Currently, the Brikvanian economy is worth around $8 billion Bricks dollars per year. With tourism and technology, it is expected the economy to grow to $16 billion Brick dollars per year, even with economic sanctions from the Kingdom of Lego.

A new technology zone for technology firms has been designed in the capital city Briktown, and beaches and mountains resorts have been cleaned up to attract tourists.

"We will open a new airport soon, and it will be nice and cosy for tourists," said King Brik II.

Caledon Neutral Territory has pledged to provide $4 billion Bricks dollars in aid to Brikvania over the next 2 years, while the Kingdom of Fabu has agreed to provide some $1.5 billion Bricks dollars annually for the next 3 years for the defence budget of Brikvania.

Both countries continue to provide aid to Brikvania despite the cessation of aid from the Kingdom of Lego.

There are also rumours that a large deposit of oil and gas has been found  in the water off the coast of Brikvania. If the rumours turn out to be true, Brikvania will be a rich country in the future.
