City of Lon Has Fallen - Fort Lego Threatened by Malatian Forces

The Royal Armed Forces of Lego (RAFL) confirmed that the city of Lon, located 15 km from the Malatian-Kingdom of Lego border, had falled into the hands of Malatian forces last night.

"Our royalist troops have decided to conduct strategic retreat as the Malatian forces around Lon have been supported by additional reinforcements from Malatia," said a Kingdom of Lego's Ministry of Defence spokesman.

RAFL forces have been defending the city of Lon for the past one week in the face of heavy air and artillery attacks from the Malatians. There were food and water shortage, as more people from the countryside fled into the city to seek shelter from the Malatian invasion.

The next major city targeted by the Malatian forces is Fort Lego, a military city which is about 45 km away from Legotown., the capital of the Kingdom of Lego.  If Fort Lego is captured by the Malatians, it will leave Legotown open to a full scale assault from the might of the Malatian military.

Inside Fort Lego itself, there have been reports of panic as residents began stocking up on food and water supply. RAFL troops have also put up defensive positions around the city in an attempt to halt the Malatian advance.
