Coup in Malatia?

The Army of Malatia (ARMT) has annouced that a military takeover is underway in Malatia after the assasination of General Hytler, and there will be a sweeping changes to the country's foreign relations. The announcement came at about 8 pm last night through the Malatian National TV Channel.

The ARMT announced that all constitutional rights are suspended, and the Malatian People's Assembly will be abolished. Almost all political parties are banned and only the right wing Malatian First Nation Party will be allowed to exist.

In foreign affairs, the ARMT spokesman denounced the peace agreement signed by General Hytler with regional countries. "The peace agreement is not beneficial to Malatia. We need more land and resources. It must be Malatians first from now on," added the spokesman.

"The current Republic of Suva will be annexed as part of Greater Malatia, and we demand that the Eastern Province of Equanter be handed over to Malatia," added the spokesman.

In the streets of Maltia, there is an eerie calmness. The military has set up roadblocks across the city and outside the Whaste Palace, the official residence of the Malatian Head of State. Agents from the Malatian Central Intelligence Agency (MCIA) were also seen going door to door and arresting high profile supporters of the dead General Hytler.

Across the region, the Kingdoms of Lego and Equanter have expressed concerns that war might take place with the new Malatian leadership.
