Equanter Discusses Regional Security With Legonia

Equanterian Prime Minister Marie Anton is on a two-day state visit to Legonia to discuss the ongoing crisis in Brikvania.

For the visit, she is accompanied senior by high-ranking Equanterian defence officials.

The Equanterian government is pushing for Legonia to provide more military assistance to Brikvania as the kingdom is facing a threat from Malatia.

"Equanter has been invaded and occupied by Malatia. We know Malatia's military aggression. That is why we must help Brikvania", said PM Marie at the airport before she flew to Legotown.

In Legotown, PM Anton had an audience with King Arius II at the Royal Palace before she met the Legonian Prime Minister Sir Winston Mofty at the Prime Minister Office at 10 Donning Street.

PM Maris is expected to visit the HQ of the Royal Armed Forces of Legonia (RAFL) and discuss defence matters with Legonian officials. King Arius has also consented to host a state dinner for PM Anton at the Royal Palace. 

Legonia has provided some aid to the Brikvanian army. However it has turned down request from Brikvania for more military aid.

"The Kingdom of Legonia is always careful about providing military aid to non-NARTO members. We do not want to create an armed race in the region", said a Legonian government spokesman.
