Equanter Steps Up Preparations For War

The Equanterian Parliament was briefed yesterday by the Prime Minister on the Equanterian preparation for possible war with Malatia.

The Prime Minister had assured Parliament that Equanter is sufficiently prepared to repel any invasion by Malatia.

According to the Prime Minister, two infantry battalions made up of the 1st and 2nd King's Own Regiment (KOR) are fully deployed along the border with Malatia. They are backed by armoured and artillery forces.

Behind the 1st and 2nd KOR, 2 more infantry battalions of the 3rd and 4th Queen's Regiment are formed up to support the KOR. These troops are mostly based in Maname, the provincial capital of Eastern Province. Troops from the Kingdom of Lego made up the last line of defence and they are based around De Quan, the capital city of Equanter.

According to the Prime Minister, "Our defences are robust and we have two large warships from the Kingdom of Lego in our naval base, ready to support us. Furthermore,  I will be launching the formation of the reserve regiments in the next few days. Our border is fully secured and defensive works have been made to repel any invasion from Malatia. ".
