Home Guards Units Began Mobilisation

Men from 1st Regiment Home Guards Legolis Province on a field training. These men have been activated and deployed along the border with Kingdom of Lego.

The Brikvanian Defence Ministry announced that four companies of the Legolis Province Home Guards have been activated to begin security duties along the border with the Kingdom of Lego.

The activation of Home Guards Units is part of the Brikvanian preparations against any conflict with its larger neighbour, the Kingdom of Lego.

"In consultation with the local provincial government, we have activated four companies of infantry troops from the 1st Regiment, Legolis Province Home Guards, for security duties. These troops will be deployed along the border with the Kingdom of Lego," said a Brikvanian Defence Ministry spokesman.

The Armed Forces of Brikvania (AFBv) has also confirmed that it has cancelled all personnel leave, and has recalled all military officers back to their posts.

Kingdom of Lego's Prime Minister Rito Wingo  has demanded that the Legolis Province be transferred to his country, but the demand has been rejected by Brikvania. As a result, Wingo has ordered Legos troops to mass along the border with Brikvania. 

As of today, it is reported that some 25,000 Legos troops backed by 200 tanks are placed along the border with Brikvania. 

Brikvania has also requested for the United Nations (UN) peacekeepers in the Kingdom to do their duties to protect it from any external aggression. Prince Aragon from the Defence Ministry is currently in the UN to seek diplomatic solutions to the ongoing crisis.
