Investigation Gains Pace: Prime Minister Named As Suspect

The Kingdom of Lego Royal Police has confirmed that Prime Minister Rito Wingo has been identified as the mastermind for the Christmas Eve attack on the Royal Palace by members of the El Chapone gang.

​"It is confirmed. We are investigating Wingo and his Legos First Party (LFP)

So far about 250 people have been arrested in the aftermath of the attack on the Royal Palace. Most of the arrests involved members of the LFP.

In a press conference, the Police Commissioner announced that investigations had revealed the El Chapone gang has been funding the LFP.

​"The success of the LFP was made possible because it received $2 million Brick Dollars from El Chapone gang. We have evidence that LFP members and Wingo were involved with El Chapone gang members to attack the Royal Palace," said the Commissioner of Police.

The Royal Public Prosecutor (RPP) will proceed to tender criminal charges against Prime Minister Wingo and members of the LFP soon. 

Wingo was angry about the police report and announced he will sack the Commissioner of Police. "He is a useless police officer," said Wingo during a press conference.

"I do not know who is El Chapone. I have never seen him," added Wingo.

Wingo and the LFP is pushing forward a new bill in Parliament to limit the power of the monarchy and the press. Dubbed the "Prime Minister Act", the bill will ensure the King is legally required to approve all laws recommended by the Prime Minister. In addition, the media will come under the control of Propaganda Ministry.  

​The opposition Royal Party has urged other opposition parties to come together to oppose the bill.
