Joint Naval Exercise Between Kingdom of Lego and Equanter

The navies of the Kingdoms of Lego and Equanter are conducting a joint exercise off the coast of Equanter.

The naval exercise involves some 5,000 troops and 25 warships from both navies. Two newly launched Area Mission Vessel (AMV) class warships of the Royal Lego Navy are also taking part in the exercise.

The naval exercise involves search and rescue operations, and joint engagements with enemy naval forces. Both navies also test-fired several Seawolf anti-ship missiles during the exercise.

When asked by reporters if the naval exercise could be viewed as an aggression against Malatia, an Equanterian Defence spokesman said: " This exercise is a form of self defence. It is Malatia that has been aggressive with us.  In the past two weeks, the Malatian Navy has intruded three times into our territorial water".

Reporters were also invited to visit the AMV warships for the first time. The stealth AMV warships are small but are equipped with anti-aircraft and anti-missile defence system.
