King Brik II to Ascend Royal Throne

​Brikvania is busy with the ascension of King Brik II to the Royal Throne.

​Palace officials have been busy preparing for the ceremony, which will be largest pubic event in Brikvania.

As thousands of visitors are expected to visit the Kingdom in time for the ceremony, hotels in the capital city Briktown have been busy preparing for the influx of tourists.

"We have 120 rooms and all are fully booked by tourists wanting to visit the Kingdom in that period," said Sir Clumuns Holeir, Manager of Hotel Imperium, which is located in central Briktown.

Public infrastructures in the city is old as the Malatian government did not invest in any development projects in the city when it was part of Malatia.

In order to reduce government expenditure, the Royal Brikvanian Government has divided the Kingdom into three provinces, with Legolis and Malatian provinces to be responsible for domestic services such as security, rubbish collection and power supply.

The federal approach however is disliked by ethnic Legos and Malatians in Brikvania, as revenues from taxes are deposited in Briktown, where ethnic Briks hold political power.

Meanwhile, the Royal Brikvanian Police Service (RBPS) has received 15 additional police cars for patrol duties. The RBPS will be centralised in Briktown, with smaller police posts to be set up at Legolis and Malatian provinces.
