Kingdom of Lego Disappointed as Brikvania Chose Neutrality

Brikvania announced that it has chosen the path of neutrality in its foreign policy. The Kingdom will not join NARTO, the regional defence alliance.

NARTO stands for Non-Aggression Royalists Treaty Organisation.

The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lego has expressed his disappointment at Brikvania's decision.

"Malatia is still a threat, and we had hoped for Brikvania to join the family of NARTO defence alliance against Malatia's potential aggression," according to a Kingdom of Lego's government spokesman.

​NARTO officials are worried that the Kingdom of Brikvania may fall apart without a strong military support. 25% of Brikvanian population of 3.2 millions are of ethnic Malatian. Most of them are residing in the Malatian Province bordering Malatia.

"These ethnic Malatians still want Brikvania to return to Malatia, and there are elements of rebellions in the  Malatian Province inside Brikvania," according to a Lego intelligence official.

Brikvanian officials however have denied that there were problems with ethnic Malatians in Brikvania.

"The Kingdom of Lego has their own opinion about us, but their opinion does not reflect ground reality," said Dr John Minor, an Historian at the Brikvanian Security College.

Brikvania is currently building up its military with NARTO's assistance. The Kingdom of Lego is training the Brikvanian Army and Air Force while the Kingdom of Fabu is setting up the Brikvanian Navy. Other NARTO countries have provided up to $45 million Brick Dollars to assist the Brikvanian military.
