Legonia Invests in Green Energy

Legonian Prime Minister Winston Mofty announces massive government investments in green energy.

"The time has come for Legonia to contribute to a better Bricks world", said Mofty in Parliament yesterday.

The Legonian government will invest $2 billion Bricks dollars within 2 years in green energy project. Several windmills will be built to generate powers and electicity for several cities.

"We have excess oil. Revenue from our oil industry  will be used to invest in green energy throughout the kingdom", said Mofty.

On climate change, Mofty said that another $1 billion dollars will be used to build coastal defences against rising sea water.

"Some parts of Legonia coastal areas are threatened by rising sea water. We are looking at land reclamations or building sea walls to protect our coastal communities", added Mofty.

When asked by the opposition about the current state of Legonian finance, Mofty said that the kingdom has a cash and gold reserves amounting to $850 billion Brick dollars.

"Every year, we have a budget surplus of about $25 billion dollars as we export more than we import. The oil industry added another $50 billion Bricks dollars a year. So we are in good hands and have sufficient resources to build more sea walls if needed", replied Mofty.
