Legonia-Malatia Secret Peace Talks

The  Legonia Royal Palace has confirmed that secret peace talks between the kingdom and Malatia have  taken place. The Palace spokesman also confirmed that the foreign ministers of all countries in the region have also taken part in the peace talks with Malatia.

Details of the peace talks are sketchy, but sources said that Legonia and Malatia are trying to ensure the region does not slide to anarchy and war again.

The press had sought further information from the Royal Palace,  but the Royal spokesman said that a press conference will be held soon.

The first peace talk took place in Brikvania last year. King Arius of Legonia had met with Field Marshal Nutyubrick of Malatia in a small village in the Kingdom of Brikvania. 

The meeting was held secretly as the then Legonian Prime Minister Rito Wingo was campaigning for a war against Malatia. King Arius was known for his opposition to Wingo's hawkish foreign policy.

The collapse of Wingo's government allowed King Arius to step up his negotiation for a lasting peace settlement with Malatia.

The Royal Palace announced that Field Marshal Nutyubrick has accepted King Arius' invitation for an official visit to Legonia. It is believed a major foreign policy initiative will be announced during Nutyubrick's visit.
