Malatia - Military Takeover and Sue For Peace

The Army of Malatia (ARMT) has taken over the Malatian government in a surprise military takeover. Field Marshal Nutyubrick, the military commander in charge of defending Malatia, became the new Head of State and immediately sued for peace talk with NARTO. 

In a press statement released by the ARMT High Command, Field Marshal Nutyubrick called for peace in the region and the immediate cessation of all hostilities. 

"The time for peace is here. The Malatian people do not want to continue this war which is causing suffering to regional countries," said the statement. The new military government has dispatched diplomats to the United Nations and NARTO-members countries to negotiate immediate cessation of hostilities.

There are confusion inside Maltia . The whereabouts of Chancellor Evilo Klump and his cabinet remain unknown. The former government has been silent for the past few weeks since NARTO invasion of Malatia.

Inside the city of Maltia, military roadblocks were set up outside the Chancellor's official residence, and several members of the ruling party have been detained by police.

There was no immediate response from NARTO countries on the offer for peace by Malatia. On the ground, NARTO forces continue to fight their way towards Maltia, the capital city of Malatia. There are reports that elite troops from the Equanterian 1st Commando Battalion have already reached the outskirts of Maltia.
