Malatia Moved Troops Closer To Suva

More Malatian armoured, mechanised and infantry units have been moved closer to the border with Suva. The move has triggered diplomatic protest from other countries in the region.

Malatia dismissed the protest, claiming that the troops are deployed purely for defense purposes only.

The large troops movements were detected moving from their military bases to forward positions just 5 km from the Suvanese border. Reports indicate up to 25,000 troops, backed by 300 tanks and armoured vehicles, are involved in the deployment.

Malatia claims that the deployment is part of a large-scale military exercise, code-named Ex  Gold Cobra.  However the troops movements have created jitters in the small neighbouring kingdom of Suva.

The Suva Royal Family has convened an emergency audience with members of the kingdom military.

Meanwhile, both Equanter and Kingdom of Lego stated their readiness to come to Suva's aid if there is a  military aggression by Malatia. However, Suva has already declared its neutrality status, which may or may not save it from a military occupation by Malatia.
