Malatia Sent Army Into Castonian Territories

There are reports that Malatia had sent its elite troops into Castonian territories. The reports have not been confirmed yet by the Castonian or Malatian authorities.

Reporters along the Castonian-Malatian border reported that several villagers claimed they saw Malatian troops inside Castonian territories in the past few days.

If the reports are true, the Malatian actions are escalating the tension between both countries since President Xitin claimed that Castonia should not be an independent country in a remark to reporters to mark the new year.

The Bricks News Network (BNN) had sent enquiry to the Castonian Defence Ministry about the reports of incursions by Malatian troops. However, the Castonian Defence Ministry had refused to provide any comment.

BNN reporters attempting to reach the border areas have been blocked by officers from the Royal Castonian Guards (RGC).

"It is for your own safety", said a RCG officer to a BNN reporter.

Regional countries have expressed concerns about the tension between Malatia and Castonia.

The Castonian Embassy in Legonia had issued a statement, stating that the incursions could be a misunderstanding.  However the Embassy officials refused to state if Malatia army units are still inside Castonian territories.
