Malatia Set Up Puppet Government in Suva

The Malatian government has announced that a new Suva government which will represent the will of the people has taken office.

"The monarchy is abolished and in its place a new Republican Government  has taken office", said a Malatian military spokesman. Malatia also announced a new Friendship Treaty between Suva and Malatia. The treaty will allow Malatia to place its military forces on Suva's soil permanently.

Regional countries have condemned the move by Malatia. It is expected the Kingdom of Lego and Equanter will declare war on Malatia soon.

Caledonia Neutral Territory and the Kingdom of Fabuland have recalled their ambassadors to Malatia, and both countries warned that trade with Malatia will be stopped.

The Suvanese Government in Exile informed the press that underground resistance to Malatian occupation is taking shape.

In the occupied territory, the new Suvanese Republican government has formed a new army called Forces Armed Nationalist Suva (FANS).
