Malatia Unveils New Armoured Vehicles

New armoured vehicles designed for the Malatian Armed Forces were unveiled yesterday. Codenamed AVM-100, the new armoured vehicles will replace those currently deploy by the Malatian Army.

The AMV-100s were designed and built by the Malatian Armed Technology, a manufacturer company which is part of the Malatian Defence Ministry.

The new vehicles carry one driver and a gunner who is the vehicle commander, and up to six infantry troops. It is armed with a cannon equipped with proactive-laser guided sensor system, allowing the gunner to hit target up to 2 km with precision. The system also allows the cannon to automatically track and hit up to 5 enemy targets consecutively. The vehicles could operate up to 400km and attain a speed of 70 km/h on sealed roads.

According to observers, some four hundred AMV-100s have already been manufactured and deployed to several units secretly. Another 600 are currently being built.
