Malatian Army Deployed At Border Posts

The Malatian Armed Forces have taken over all land and sea border checkpoints throughout the country.  Reports said that several border crossings into Equanter and the Kingdom of Lego have been closed since last night.

Malatia's immigration, custom and police officers were stood down from all land and sea border checkpoints as of 11 pm last night. There were also large movements of military convoy seen on the Malatian side of the border.

Approximately at 11.30 pm, the barricades on the Malatian side of the border crossings were brought down and all border crossings had stopped.  United Nations (UN) peacekeepers on the Equanterian side had also withdrawn from their posts, fearing a possible war erupting soon. 

According to sources inside Malatia, some 100,000 Malatia troops are already deployed close to Equanter. They are backed by some 300 tanks and 500 armoured vehicles.  All non-military personnel have been banned from within 5 km from the border with Equanter and the Kingdom of Lego.

In response to the development, both Equanter and Kingdom of Lego have stepped up security along their border with Malatia. Extra policemen were deployed at Equanterian checkpoints for added security.
