Malatian Jet Fighter Shot Down Over Equanter

A Malatian fighter plane was shot down by a Kingdom of Lego frigate over Equanterian water yesterday.

The incident took place when two fighter jets from the People's Republic of Malatia  Air Force (PRMAF) were detected over Equanterian airspace in late afternoon.

The pilot of the downed jet managed to eject and landed in Equanterian territory safely.  He was then arrested by the police and brought to a police station in the capital city.

Malatia has condemned the incident and demanded the immediate release of the captured pilot.

The RLN missile frigate RLS Minebricks was patrolling about 10 km from the Equanterian shores when its radar detected two Malatian fighter jets approaching in an aggressive manner. After several warnings were given, RLS Minebricks launched two anti-aircracft KLAAM-II missiles towards the two PRMAF jet fighters.

One of the PRMAF jets was hit by a KLAMM-II missile and was badly damaged. The pilot flew the jet towards Equanter before it crashed into the water. The pilot was picked up by Equanterian marine police and brought to shore.

This is the first time PRMAF jets have intruded into Equanterian airspace. The downing of the Malatiann jet fighter will definitely leads to higher tension in the region.
