Malatian National Assembly Challenged Xitin

Several members of the Republic National Assembly, the parliament of Malatia, had openly criticised President Xitin for the mass arrest of former political leaders, military commanders and top business leaders.

They also attacked Xitin's aggressive policy against Castonia.

The members of the Assembly will hold a special session to discuss the recent arrests launched by Xitin. "Former leader Nutyubrick had set guidelines and law that prohibited such arrests", said Gregory Barosi, Secretary to the Chairman of the Assembly.

A few members of the current Malatian cabinet had also questioned the mass arrest. Minister for Public Entertainment, Lou Funnou, said that Malatia should not revert to a military dictatorship, which was last seen under former leader Evilo Klump. "Our former leader Nutyubrick has emphasised economic growth over military expansion program", said Mr Funnou.

So far President Xitin has not responded to any of the criticism from the civilian politicians. However, the Malatian Army has warned that anyone who attempted to shake the stability of the country will be dealt with severely. 

President Xitin does not have any legal control over the Assembly as former leader Nutyubrick has written a new constitution that separated the power of the President and the  Assembly.  

President Xitin has dismissed many military commanders, and installed his loyalists in many key positions within the military. Similarly, he has also appointed his cronies as diplomats and ambassadors, sacking many experienced staff.
