Malatian Province's Governor Appeals for Urgent Help

A damaged building in the Malatian Province is still not being repaired even after the conflict has ended for a few months.

Lord Kumo Como, the Governor of the Malatian Province in Brikvania, has requested the central government for urgent assistance to rebuild the province.

About 70 buildings  are still in a state of disrepair, with about 14,000 people still living  in refugees camp. These people have lost their houses during the recent Brikvanian-Legonian war. 

The  ethnic Malatians are angry at the perceived lack of capability of King Brik II government to rebuild the province.

"We suffered the most during the last war as Legonian warplanes destroyed our homes, schools and factories. Where are we to stay?" said a frustrated local resident.

There have been protests and demonstrations against the Provincial Governor Lord Como, who is seen as a key supporter of King Brik II.

Lord Como said in a press conference that the Provincial Government has ran out of money to feed the population and to rebuild the damaged infrastructure.

"We need $120 million Bricks dollars immediately to rebuild the road, bridges and houses," said Lord Como. 

The Brikvanian Royal Government has already provided some $15 million Brick dollars to the province, but it could not provide more as the Kingdom is facing a budget deficit with a collapsing economy.
