Maltia Encircled By Allies - ARMT Retreating Again

​Maltia, the capital city of Malatia, is now nearly surrounded and cut off from the rest of the country. Troops from the Kingdoms of Lego, Equanter and Fabus have taken positions on the north, west and south of the city, and are poised to enter the city anytime.

The Army of Malatia (ARMT) has pulled back from many defensive positions outside the capital city after suffering heavy losses. They are now concentrating their forces around the immediate outskirts of the city limit.

After two days of fighting, the ARMT have lost control of Republic Highway located to the south-west of the city to Non-Aggression Royalists Treaty Organisation (NARTO) forces. The Republic Highway is critical as it is a major intersection linking the city to the western part of the country.

Fighting is also now edging closer to the Malatian International Airport, with NARTO forces are about 8 km away after capturing the town of Galwood. All flights from the airport have been cancelled, and only military warplanes are allowed to land or take off.

General Ghusni, Commander of the Malatian South Army, denied that ARMT troops had suffered heavy defeats in the past 24 hours. " We are doing all well on the western front. In fact, our glorious army has punished the imperialists nutcakes," exclaimed General Ghusni in a press conference earlier this morning.

Meanwhile, there are rumours of a possible coup against the Malatian political elite. Some ARMT Commanders have expressed their unhappiness at the way the war is being managed by Chancellor Klump and his cabinet. During last night meeting at the Chancellory Command Bunker, it was reported that Field Marshal Nutyubrick has slammed the Chancellor's instruction for the Army to fight until the last man instead of retreating.

"The Chancellor does not have any military experience and is giving tactical instruction to the military. We have suffered heavy losses because of him and his lackeys," according to an unnamed Malatian military official. "The army is frustrated because we are running low on supplies and ammos. yet we are expected to die for the Chancellor," he added.

In NARTO HQ in Legotown, the NARTO spokesman confirmed that all NARTO member-countries agreed a full-scale occupation of Malatia is necessary for regional peace, unless there is a change in the Malatian government.
