MOC Lego News: Pay Rise for Medical Workers

The new Royal Party (RP) government of Sir Winston Mofty has announced pay increment of between 5% to 12% for public medical staff.  The pay increment is part of the RP's economic policy "For the 99%" that will see pay increment for low and middle income public servants.  

Medical staff earning more than $80,000 annually, such as doctors, specialists and surgeons will receive 5% pay increment. The higher pay increment of 12% will be for low earners, those who are earning $24,000 or less annually such as ambulance drivers and cleaners at public hospitals and clinics.

"The last pay revision was held some 10 years ago. We need to ensure our people earn a decent living wage", said Prime Minister Mofty in Parliament.

The Prime Minister also announced  that 15 new ambulances will be added to the current fleet of 80 ambulances. 

"The new ambulances will be deployed ensure our subjects could receive timely medical assistance  wherever they are located", added Sir Mofty.

The Prime Minister Office also announced that the RP government is also looking at upgrading and expanding all public hospitals.  

The Royal Green Party (RGP) has supported the economic proposals to increase the pay of medical workers.
