Riots police fanned out across Legotown. Protests turned violent in many parts of the city.

Huge protests against hardliner Prime Minister Rito Wingo of the Kingdom of Lego have taken place across the region. The protesters are against Wingo's hardline economic and foreign policies, and the Legos invasion of Brikvania.

The Legos embassies in Equanter and Fabuland were stormed by protesters.

In the Kingdom of Lego, nearly half a million protesters converged into Royal Square in Legotown, the capital of the Kingdom of Lego, and surrounded the Prime Minister Complex. Some of the protesters broke away from the main group and attacked the offices of the Legos First Party (LFP),  a political party headed by Wingo.

Several large riots took place at the end of the huge protest and there were reports of clashes between the rioters and police at several locations.

A large group of 5,000 protesters attempted to storm the Prime Minister Complex but they were pushed back by 200 riot troops who fired tear gas and rubber bullets. At one point, the protesters managed to scale the perimeter fencing of the Prime Minister Complex and threatened to enter the building housing Wingo's office.

"We want to overthrow Wingo. He is invading Brikvania, a small peaceful kingdom. This guy is nut and has destroyed the image of the Prime Minister office. He does not deserve to be the Prime Minister, not even a road sweeper",  said a protester.

"We are protesting against injustices, and against Wingo's economic policies that put more money into the pockets of the rich. This protest is for my children," said Claimio Forster, another protester.

Wingo and some of his cabinet ministers were evacuated by helicopters to a nearby military base as the situation worsened. As of 7 pm tonight, 8 riots were confirmed to have taken place, and 50 protesters were injured. The Police Commissioner has announced a curfew from 10 pm to 8 am tomorrow morning to bring the situation under control.

The opposition Royal Party has urged all subjects to remain calm and not to destroy public property.  Wingo on the other hand remained defiant.

"These rioters are peanuts. I have larger number of supporters. More people love me", said Wingo.

KING'S ADDRESS

As the situation has spiralled out of control, King Arius of the Kingdom of Lego has called for a press conference tomorrow morning at 8 am, where he will addressed his subjects. The content of his upcoming address is not known. However Palace sources informed the media that the Defence Chief and the Police Commissioner were called up by King Arius for an urgent meeting  tonight.

A Lego fan who collected bricks since school days. The buildings, vehicles and in ships are designed and built by me. Not perfect but something which I am proud of.
