MOC News: The King's Speech on New Year's Eve

King Arius of the  Kingdom of Lego in his New Year's Eve speech has urged all politicians and countries in the region to work for peace.

"Our region has undergone a devastating war which killed thousands of innocent lives. Each and everyone of us must persevere and work for peace, for the sake of our future generations," said King Arius.

The King delivered his speech live from the Royal Palace, which was attacked by El Chapone gang on Christmas Eve. Security around the palace was tightened, with members of the Police Special Command standing guard and conducting roadblocks and security checks.

In a swipe against the Legos First Party (LFP) and Prime Minister Wingo, the King urged all subjects to vote wisely. 

"Vote not only for you, but for your future generations. We must work together against politicians that try to divide us and push us against one another," added King Arius.

On foreign policy, the King said: "To all our neighbours near and afar, I extend the hand of friendship to you. We have nothing against the people of Malatia, except goodwill."

Reacting to the King's Speech, Prime Minister Wingo said that the King cannot set the direction of the country foreign policy.

"Only I can set the foreign policy agenda, and the King should just shut his mouth," said Wingo. The Royal Palace has condemned Wingo's statement.
