The military operation against Malatia has started. The operation, codenamed Sweep Garden, commenced at 4 am this morning when NARTO's artillery forces began pounding the Malatian Magnito Defence Line.

Hundreds of NARTO warplanes have also taken to the sky, attacking Malatian military installations and defensive positions throughout the country.

Malatian military forces have been badly hit by the NARTO's offensive. Within the first four hours of the battle, the Malatian Navy and Air Force have been destroyed. Four Malatian naval bases were bombed, and several warships were sunk. In the air, a further 20 Malatian warplanes were shot down in air to air battles with NARTO warplanes.

On the ground, NARTO forces have moved into Malatia from the north, west and south. In the north, a combined Kingdoms of Fabu and Equanter forces have captured several small Malatian towns along the border. In the west, Kingdom of Lego troops met with fierce resistance along the Magnito Defence Line.  The Malatian defenders have launched fierce counter attacks, which stalled the alliance offensive for a few hours. Further to the south, a smaller number of Kingdom of Lego troops managed to overcome Malatian resistance along the border and are now moving towards the Malatian southern port of Tesgen.

Unconfirmed reports inside Malatia indicate hundreds, if not thousands, of NARTO paratroopers have been dropped behind the Malatian defensive line along the border.  Villagers along the border reported seeing NARTO paratroopers near some of the farms and villages.

In the meantime, the Suva Republic is fully liberated. NARTO troops gain complete control of the country after heavy fighting for the past few days. Suvaport and Suvatown were liberated by NARTO forces yesterday, with the remaining Malatian soldiers were pushed out of the country by this morning.

The Forces Armed Nationalists Suva (FANS), the armed forces of occupied Suva, has collapsed and many members of the military have gone into hiding. The Suvanese military regime has gone into hiding too, after the Presidential Palace was captured by NARTO troops.

With the liberation of Suva, the Suvanese Royal Family announced they will return to their former Kingdom soon. In a statement given to the press,  the Royal Family states:  "The Royal Family will return and guide the Kingdom to full economic recovery. We thank the NARTO troops for liberating our Kingdom from the clutch of evil," Inside Suva, the news of liberation and the return of the Royal Family were greeted with celebrations.
