Prime Minister Wingo has been pursuing pro-rich economic measures along with hardline foreign policy.

The Kingdom of Lego's new Prime Minister Rito Wingo announced that the Kingdom will pursue a new hardline foreign policy.

"It is Legos first now. Only a hardline policy will prevent a new war", said Wingo in an interview with the Kingdom of Lego's Regional News Network (RNN).

"We have expanded our military, and I have told our NARTO members I expect them to build up their army too, and together we will be strong against Malatia," said Wingo.

On the Malatian threat, Wingo said that Brikvania must allowed the Kingdom of Lego to deploy Legos troops inside its territory.

"We need to be there to stop any Malatian invasion of Lego through Brikvania. And Brikvania chose neutrality. There is no such thing. Either you are with me or against me", said Wingo.

Wingo warned Brikvania not to establish diplomatic relations with Malatia.

"I told King Brik II not to sign the peace agreement with Malatia. If he do it, I will punish Brikvania", said Wingo.

"We have also told Brikvania our intention to buy the Legolis Province from them, and I expect an answer soon", added Wingo.

On the economic front, Wingo said that he will slashed corporate tax to 5% from the current 25%, and increase personal income tax from 15% to 35%. He will also cut welfare expenditure.

"From next week, we will increase the personal income tax. More tax means more money for me to spend on the military. Less tax on companies means they can invest more and create more jobs. There is no need for welfare, if you are poor it is your fault for not working hard", Wingo claimed.

The opposition Royal Party has argued that more taxes on the working class will lead to hardship. "This government is mad, taking money from the poor to give to the rich. Wingo's business will earn $2 billion in savings from the corporate tax cut".

Regarding the allegation of corruption in his administration , Wingo said that it was nonsense.

"My son who is the government's adviser, is also running our family business. Because he is good I had given him four government contracts to supply our Kingdom with weapons and new public housing. There is nothing wrong with that," added Wingo.

Wingo is also aiming to curb the power of the King. "We will cut the budget for the Royal Household if the King does not pass the legislation that I want", said Wingo. Under the Kingdom of Lego's constitution, the King has the power to reject laws pass by the Parliament.

"If the King blocks my legislation, we will abolish the monarchy and the King can leave the country", said Wingo. He also claimed that the Kingdom's top government legal adviser has found a law to abolish the monarchy.

The Royal Palace has criticised Wingo's comment. "The King is the Head of State, and respect must be shown to the King, not threats", said a Royal Spokesman.
