New MOC Patrol Vessels

The Independence class patrol vessels are the first locally build naval ships in Brikvania.

The Royal Brikvanian Navy (RBN) has received the first of 8 patrol vessels from the MOC Shipbuilding Limited.

​The vessel, tagged as the Independence class patrol vessel, will be deployed after undergoing sea trial in the next few week.

Each vessel can be manned by up to 9 troops, and is equipped with one MOC CIW-gun capable of firing 200 rounds per minute. It can travel at a speed of up to 90 km per hour. 

The high speed of these vessels meant they can be used to intercept smugglers. 

King Brik II, who was at the Royal Naval Base yesterday, announced that these 8 vessels will provide a more secure coastline for Brikvania.

"We have build the army quickly as we need to secure our territories. But we also need a strong navy to protect our coastline and water, especially as we have found oil deposit in the sea around us", said King Brik II.

The Defence MInistry is also looking at upgrading these vessels as soon as possible. 

"We may upgrade these vessels with anti-ship missiles once we have more money, said Prince Aragon, Minister for Defence and Internal Security.

Observers believe that Brikvania needs a strong navy.

"Both Malatia and Kingdom of Lego have large navy with submarines and frigates. The RBN is still small and can be wiped out easily", said a Kingdom of Lego defence official.
