Parliament Votes To Impeach

Parliament voted to impeach Wingo who remained defiant.

The Royal Parliament in Legotown has passed a law to suspend Prime Minister Rito Wingo over his alleged involvement in the assassination attempt on King Arius and the Royal Family.

The Parliament has also condemned Wingo's military campaign against Brikvania.

Wingo has condemned the new law. "The people voted for me, so Parliament better listen to the people," said Wingo in a rally with his supporters.

"Look at Malatia and Brikvania, they are so so afraid of us now. We are Legos and we will kick them around if need be",  Wingo added.

All the opposition parties in the Parliament have united to pass a bill limiting Wingo's ability to wage war against Brikvania. However Wingo has vowed to ignore the new bill. Parliament has also requested for the Police to step up their investigation against Wingo for corruption.

Wingo's impeachment needs to be approved by the King. His Excellency King Arius so far has not indicated if he will sign the decree to impeach and sack Wingo.

Meanwhile on the ground, Wingo has signed off an order to mobilise military reserves and deploy them along the border with Brikvania. Citing obscure and unverified intelligence reports, the Prime Minister Office claimed that the Kingdom of Lego is under immediate threat from Brikvania.

When asked by reporters how could a small country like Brikvania poses a threat to the Kingdom of Lego, Wingo's spokesman said that "when the Prime Minister said so, it is true".

Protests against Wingo have continued throughout the Kingdom, as the opposition parties called all Legos to protest and overthrow Wingo.​

NEWS FROM THE FRONT LINE

Brikvanian troops from the Armed Forces of Brikvania (AFBv) has entered Legolis  Province. For the first time in the conflict, AFBv troops have directly engaged Legos troops in large scale battles . The Brikvanians had ambushed and destroyed a column of Legos armoured vehicles at the small village of Cocoma, about 10 km to the south of the main town of Avalon. 

Reporters embedded within the Legos army said that the Brikvanian had inflicted heavy casualties on the Legos. Four Legos tanks were damaged and 27 Legos troops were killed in the ambush.
