President Xitin Strengthens Grips On Power

Malatian President Xitin is set to strengthen his grips on power with the mass arrests of Malatian elites. 

Many office-holders during the Field Marshal Nutyubrick era had been imprisoned. Top Malatian business leaders are detained, and now being demanded to contribute their wealth to Malatia's sovereign fund.

After taking out all potential opponents and enemies, President Xitin has announced a slew of constitutional changes.  The post of Deputy Leader to the President is abolished, along with the  National Committee that oversees the President's office.

On the military front, President Xitin has set up the Central Military Commission (CMC), which he chairs. The CMC will oversee the Malatian People's Liberation Army (MPLA). The post of Chief of the Armed Forces  has been scrapped, with the entire armed forces placed under the control of the CMC.

President Xitin has therefore concentrated political and military powers within his inner circle. It is a dangerous game as Malatia could revert to a totalitarian state again.
