Prime Minister's Residence Under Renovation

Police officers are deployed to guard the temporary residence of the Prime Minister.

The official residence for the Legonian Prime Minister at 10 Donning Street is under major renovation due to some damaged bricks. The renovation is expected to take 10 weeks.

In the meantime, the Prime Minister and his family will move to 11 Donning Street, which is a smaller apartment.

During a routine maintenance inspection last month, it was found that some bricks in the official residence of the Prime Minister are damaged. The cause of the damage is due to fake Bricks being used in a renovation made during Rito Wingo's time as the premier.

The fake bricks may cause the official residence of the Prime Minister to collapse. For security and safety reason, the Prime Minister and his family has moved to the unit next door.

Security has been enhanced at 11 Donning Street. 2 armed policemen are deployed, guarding the main entrance to the building. These police officers are deployed around the clock.

11 Donning Street was used as a guest house for official visitors to the Royal Palace. It has been left empty for a few months.

According to a source, the Prime Minister and his family is happy with the new apartment as it has a free wifi and a large kitchen.
