Radar System for Royal Palace

​The Legonian Defence Ministry  has confirmed that a radar system as been installed within the compound of the Legonian Royal Palace.

​The radar will detect any aerial intrusion from planes and drones that may threaten the security of the Royal Family.

The unnamed radar system will provide 24/7 security coverage. Currently the Royal Palace, located just outside the capital city Legotown, is being covered by a radar system from the nearby Legotown airbase.

The installation of the radar system is part of the security enhancement program for the Royal Family, which was nearly overthrown in a coup by the supporters of former hardliner Prime Minister Rito Wingo.

It was also reported, although unconfirmed by Palace officials, that the radar system is equipped with short range air defence system which is capable to shoot down drones.

The Legonian Defence Ministry announced that the radar system cost about $5.5 million Bricks dollars.
