Region Heading for Second Regional War: Protests Erupt

Riot police being deployed at major cities to deal with the rioters.

In cities across the region, hundreds of thousand of protesters are out in the streets to condemn the Kingdom of Lego's invasion of Brikvania.

In the Kingdom of Lego, large protests against Prime Minister Rito Wingo took place in several major cities, and riots were reported in several places.  

Wingo sent Legos troops into Brikvania after the Brikvanians refused to hand over the Legolis Province to the Kingdom of Lego.

The Kingdom of Lego's main opposition party has called for protests against Wingo's war-mongering policy. In response, hundreds of thousands of Legos have come into the streets and launched the biggest anti-war protests.

Two large riots have taken place in Legotown, the capital of the Kingdom of Lego. The rioters attacked the offices of Wingo's party, the Legos First Party (LFP). Riots police were called in and several clashes took place outside Wingo's official residence. 

Outside the Royal Palace, a large crowd has gathered chanting "No More War" and "Down with Wingo". They were closely watched by several members of the riot police unit. The protesters were urging the King to use his influence to stop the war.

"We do not want a war in our names", said a protester. 

INSIDE BRIKVANIA

The Legos troops launched military attacks and entered Brikvania's Legolis Province two days ago. So far the fighting is concentrated along the border areas as the Brikvanian have put up very stiff resistance against the Legos.

According to several reporters at the frontline, the Legos troops were stalled just outside the Brikvanian town of Avalon. 

"The local Brikvanian defence units were using anti-tank weapons to great effect. I saw four or five Legos tanks on fire just at the border checkpoint alone", said Andrew Brigo, a reported from the Lego News Network.

The Brikvanian government has announced that the Armed Forces of Brikvania (AFBv) will soon be deploy into the Legolis Province.

"I have spoken to Prince Aragon and he will lead the AFBv troops into the province", said King Brik II. He added:  "We will spare no efforts to defend the kingdom".
