Robbery In City

An attempted armed robbery took place inside the yet to be opened City Bank Head Office late yesterday afternoon. Several shots were fired by two robbers but no one was hurt.

The robbery took place when the closing time. Two armed men covering their faces entered the bank and opened fire at the staff.

A guard on duty returned fire and the two robbers fled after one of them dropped his weapon. A few minutes later the several police cars arrived. Special armed police conducted searches at nearby buildings to look for the robbers.

Up till press time, the robbers have not been traced yet.
