Royal Bank Set Up Regional HQ in Legotown

Prime Minister Sir Winston Mofty of Legonia had opened the Global Head office of the Royal Bank in Legotown in a large ceremony yesterday.

Royal Bank is the largest bank in the Bricks region. It has assets of about $100 billion Bricks dollars.

The opening of the Royal Bank's Global head office  in Legotown meant that many regional financial institutions would be drawn to set up their branches in Legonia.

"We welcome the Royal Bank office here in Legotown.  The office will employ hundreds of Legonians in many areas, but also thousand others will gain benefits indirectly", said Sir Mofty.

According to a Royal Bank's spokesman, the bank will open about 25 branches throughout Legonia, and employed about 800 people to staff these branches. 

Some of the branches will be large, and will have secured rooms for customers to store their Lego diamonds or gold.

The main office in Legotown will be three-storey high, with a large secure storage room that store Legonian gold reserves.  The main office will be guarded by members of the Royal Police Service (RPS) instead of private guards.

According to  the Royal Treasury, more financial institutions have applied to set up their office in Legotown. It is hoped that Legotown will be the regional financial centre soon.
