Sir Mofty Sworn In As PM: Moved into 10 Donning Street

In a small ceremony within the garden of the Royal Palace in Legotown, Sir Winston Mofty of the Royal Party  was sworn in as the kingdom's new Prime Minister.

The appointment of Sir Mofty by King Arius was witnessed by Chief Justice Harold Bean, along with the Crown Prince and key military and political leaders.

In the latest updates on the vote count, the Royal Party has won 80 seats out of the 120 seats contested in the recent election. 

King Arius has appointed Sir Mofty after consulting  the Royal Council, and after the final vote results have been confirmed by the Election Commission.

In his speech, Sir Mofty reaffirmed his commitment to fight corruption, and to bring social justice to all. "We will cut tax for the poor and middle class, and increase taxes on the rich," said Sir Mofty.

"My government will work to ensure every Legonians will have access to basic healthcare and decent paying job", Sir Mofty added.

On the economic front, Sir Mofty said that: "Our kingdom has plenty of oil and gas reserves. My government will not be like the leaders of some oil rich countries that spend their national resources on expensive cars and  expensive apartments in the developed world, or spent their resources on brothels and concubines. Here in Legonia the revenue from oil and gas resources should be used to improve the lives of the subjects, and that is what we are planning to do".

Details of the new government policy will be announced soon. 

Sir Mofty will move to the Prime Minister official residence at No 10 Donning Street. Security will also be tightened at his private apartment located in the working class area of Mantriol, near Legotown airport.

Sir Mofty came from a humble background. His parents were farmers, and he was educated in the old Lego Royal University before pursuing further study in politics at the elite OxBrick University.  He is married with one little cute baby.
