Suspected Malatian Agents Detained in Brikvania

The Brikvanian authority announced that two suspected Malatian agents were detained inside Brikvania while trying to smuggle weapons and propaganda materials to pro-Malatian groups inside the small kingdom.

Brikvanian intelligence officials informed the media that two suspected agents from the Malatian Foreign Security Bureau (FSB) were detained in the Malatian Province of Brikvania last week. They were intercepted by local police after driving a car with broken tail lights.

Upon further inspection, the local police found 3 guns and a few pro-Malatian propaganda materials in the car. One Malatian flag was also found.

Brikvanian army units were despatched to the scene, and officers from the Brikvanian General Intelligence Directorate (BRIGID) joined in the investigation much later.

A spokesman from BRIGID said that the intelligence office has been investigating Malatian infiltrations inside the Kingdom.

“We found evidence that Malatia is encouraging separatist movements in the Malatian Province of Brikvania to secede and rejoin Malatia”, said the spokesman.

​The Kingdom of Legonia has expressed concerns that FSB officers are operating inside Brikvania. Staff from the Legonian intelligence office, the Royal Security Directorate (RSD), has contacted BRIGID for more information. 

Meanwhile, Malatia has demanded the released of the two FSB officers, claiming that they had entered Brikvania by mistake while travelling along the border areas.
