"The Suvanese capital of Suvatown is completely in the hand of the invaders. God Bless the Royal Family and we will continue to resist the occupation" - That was the last broadcast from Radio Suva early this morning as Malatian troops began moving into the capital.

The old city of Suvatown  fell early this morning after nearly one week of siege from Malatian forces, and more than two weeks after Malatia invaded the small Kingdom.

More than two weeks ago, 30,000 Malatian troops, including 5,000 naval troops,  invaded the small kingdom of Suva. Backed by 300 tanks and 500 armoured vehicles, the Malatian ground forces crushed Suvanese resistance along the border within 2 days.

Malatian warplanes controlled the sky since the first day of the conflict,  while at the sea, Malatian warships imposed complete control of Suvanese water and ensured a total siege of the kingdom.

Suvanese troops pulled back to the second city  of Suvaport, and put up still resistance for nearly a week before they were forced to retreat to Suvatown, where they took a last stand against the invaders.

Without tanks and armoured vehicles, the Suvanese troops depended on anti-tank weapons to blunt the Malatian offensive. A total of 34 Malatian tanks and 40 armored vehicles were destroyed or damaged throughout the invasion.

Outgunned and outnumbered, Suvanese forces formed a defensive ring around Suvatown, and as the war entered its second week, Malatian forces began to encircle the old city which by then was crowded with refugees from the countryside.

Malatian efforts to capture the city failed as the remnants of Suvanese military put up heavy resistance and in the last four days of the war, the Suvanese launched counter attacks and blunt the Malatian offensive.

In the last 24 hours, Malatian forces launched a heavy artillery bombardment of the city, and backed by almost 200 tanks and 300 armoured vehicles, 15,000 Malatian troops launched attacks on all fronts. By 3 am, Suvanese forces had been pushed to within 1 km from the Royal Palace.  Street to street battles took place and many residents were killed or wounded.

By 5 am, the Royal Palace fell to the invading forces, and some 200 Suvanese troops retreated and took up positions at Fort Suva, a heavily fortified military barrack at the water edge of the city, where they fought until 7 am this morning when the Royal Government decided to surrender to Malatia.

The fate of the Suvanese Royal Family is unknown currently. It is believed they are now in Equanter or Kingdom of Lego.
