Suva Tightens Border Security

Checkpoint Alpha: The only land border crossing between Suva and Malatia. RSA troops have been deployed to support the local police presence at the border checkpoint.

As tension with Malatia increases, the Royal Suvanese Army (rsa) has deployed its troops at Checkpoint Alpha, the only border crossing between Suva and Malatia.

Kingdom of Suva has also restricted the operations of the border checkpoint. With immediate effect, the checkpoint will only be opened between 9 am to 5 pm daily.

1st and 2nd company of the RSA Land Regiment were seen taking positions along the border area yesterday. They will support the local police and custom units deployed at Checkpoint Alpha.

Across the border, Malatian forces were seen fortifying its side of the checkpoint. Several Malatian army jeeps with machine-guns are deployed at its custom checkpoint, just 100 metres away from Suva.
