Tension Escalates In The Region

The Malatian government has given the Kingdom of Suva to withdraw from the Balklands Island within the next 24 hours.

Failure to do so would lead to a state of war between the two states, according to the same Malatian government communique.

"The  invasion and annexation of Balklands Island is illegal under international law, and we will take the measures, politically and militarily, to protect our sovereignity, " said General Ghusni, the Malatian Defence Minister.

Efforts to deescalate the tension failed as the Kingdom of Suva, backed by the Kingdom of Lego, insisted on its right to annex the Malatian territory.

Across the region, the Equanterian, Brikvanian, Fabus and Caledonian governments have issued calls for both Suva and Malatia to reach peaceful agreement to their current conflict. The Kingdom of Lego however supported the Suvanese efforts to annex Balklands Island. 

Prime Minister Rito Wingo of the Kingdom of Lego announced that some 500 Legos commandos would be deploy on Balklands Island to support the Kingdom of Suva wihtin the next 24 hours.

"We are a big power, and we have powerful military. Malatia should be afraid, really afraid," said Wingo in a press conference.

Wingo has also warned Brikvania not to stop Legos aircraft from entering its airspace to attack Malatia.  "We have stealth warplanes that could destroy anyone," claimed Wingo.

King Brik II of Brikvania has condemned Wingo's threat, and requested the United Nations to ensure the security of his kingdom.  

"I am asking the UN to send more peacekeepers to my kingdom to ensure our security from Wingo," said King Brik II.
