Ultimatum To Rebels - Lay Down Arms Or Be Destroyed

Rebel forces in Eastern Province have lost ground and are now trapped within Smallville after a series of defeats at the hand of government forces backed by Kingdom of Lego military forces.

The Armed Forces of Equanter has given an ultimatum to the rebels trapped in Smallville to surrender within the next 48 hours, or they would be crushed by government forces.

Rebel fighters from the Inglorious State In Lego (ISIL) have been cut off from Malatia, and have seen their frontline bunkers fell into the hand of Equanterian government forces. It is estimated some 500 to 900 rebels are defending Smallville, and they are running low on ammunition and supplies.

Rebels reinforcements from Malatia were unable to enter Equanter as all the border areas have been secured by joint Equanterian-Lego troops.

In the north of Smallville, Equanterian troops from the 1st King's Regiment have captured the bus interchange just 2 km from Smallville, while in the east, Lego special forces have severed the link between Smallville and the border with Malatia, thus preventing reinforcements from reaching the rebels. Elements of Equanterian Royal Guards and Commando units have pressed onto Smallville from the west and south of the town. 

As government forces have tightened their grip on Smallville,  residents are trapped in the fighting as they are unable to leave the town. Rebel fighters have ordered a curfew from dusk to dawn, and have shut down the internet café and phone exchange center within the town, thus cutting communication with the outside world.
