UN Peacekeepers Mediate For Legos Withdrawal

​The United Nations has managed to negotiate for the peaceful withdrawal of Legos troops from their barrack in the Legolis Province of Brikvania.

​The Legos troops will leave Brikvania within 15 days, according to a source in the Brikvanian Defence Ministry.

Colonel Helmeto Bluk, Commander of UN Peacekeepers in Brikvania, had managed to convince Prime Minister Wingo of the Kingdom of Lego to withdraw the 500 Legos troops from Brikvania.

In return, Wingo has managed to secure an agreement from Brikvania that they would negotiate on transferring Legolis Province to Kingdom of Lego.

Brikvania has also agreed that no Brikvanian troops would be deployed inside Legolis Province, and that the Kingdom of Lego is allowed to send military observers to monitor the security situation inside the province.

"We have prevented a war", said Colonel Helmeto. "I have 300 peacekeepers in Brikvania and it is not enough to monitor Brikvanian border", added the Colonel.

In Legolis Province, the residents were happy of the peaceful outcome. "I was afraid we will have another war again", said Madam Garista, owner of a puppy shop in Legolis Province. 

At Briktown, Brikvanian civil servants were unhappy with the outcome. "We averted a war now, but sooner or later Wingo will occupy Legolis province", said Mr Fulus Dullars, a senior director in the Ministry of Finance.
