United Nations Peacekeepers At Border Checkpoints

A UN peacekeeper with Legolis Province Home Guards at a Brikvanian border post along the border with the Kingdom of Lego.

The United Nations peacekeepers in Brikvania (UNBRIK) confirmed reports that the peacekeepers have been deployed along the border with the Kingdom of Lego.

"We have deployed some 200 peacekeepers at the border checkpoints. Our mandate is to keep peace and ensure the territorial integrity of Brikvania", said Captain Bru Halmato, a spokesman for UNBRIK.

UNBRIK has a mandate to use force if necessary in order to ensure the integrity of Briikvanian territories. It has about 2000 peacekeepers on duty throughout the Kingdom of Brikvania.

The deployment of UNBRIK troops at the border checkpoints is taking place as tension in the region is increasing over the Kingdom of Lego's demand for Brikvania to surrender the Legolis province. The Royal Armed Forces of Lego (RAFL) has deployed some 15,000 to 20,000 troops along the border with Brikvania, backed by some 200 tanks and 300 armoured vehicles. 

In response, Brikvania has reformed its defence structure urgently, and also mobilised the Home Guards units from the Legolis Province. 

The Legos Defence Ministry warned that anyone that try to stop its military operations will be destroyed. 

"We do not care if these troops are the UN or not. Do not get into our way", warned a Legos Defence Ministry spokesman.
