In response to reports of Brikvanian army deploying Malatian air defence system, the Kingdom of Lego's Prime Minister Rito Wingo has ordered the deployment of Legos troops to the Birkvanian border.

"King Brik II is a threat to the region and must be thought a lesson," said Wingo.

Several news reports recently stated that the Malatian has deployed its latest mid-range air defence system in the Kingdom of Brikvania. Sources inside the Brikvanian Defence Ministry said that Malatia is assisting Brikvania to build a credible air defence system after several air intrusions by Legos warplanes.

Wingo and his Legos First Party (LFP) government viewed the air defence system as a threat to the Kingdom of Lego, and has promised to retaliate against Brikvania if it established close defence relations with Malatia.

Wingo had ordered the Royal Armed Forces of Lego (RAFL) to prepare for plans to annex the Legolis Province of Brikvania.

"We are not interested in talking. We have talked enough. Now is time for action and we want the Legolis Province to be transferred to us. We are locked and loaded for war," said Wingo.

As of yesterday, the RAFL High Command announced that some 15,000 infantry troops backed by tanks and armoured vehicles will be deployed along the Brikvanian border in preparation for any conflict.

"Elements from the 1st and 5th Legos Division, and the 3rd Royal Guards Battalion have been activated and moved to the border area. They are backed by the 51st Royal Armoured Regiment and 101st Royal Mechanised Division," said a   RAFL High Command 's spokesman.

In Brikvania, there is an air of apprehension in the small Kingdom as it knows it cannot fight a war against the most powerful country in the region.

In response to the escalating tension, King Brik II has chaired a meeting of the Brikvanian Defence Council Committee, comprising of the Defence and Foreign Affairs officials, and the local governments from all the three provinces.

All the three provinces that make up Brikvania has agreed to a central command, and the Legolis and Malatian provinces have agreed to rename their local defence forces to reflect the change in command structured -  Legolis Province Home Guards and Malatian Province Home Guards.

The Home Guards are equipped with only guns and anti-tank weapons.

The Legolis Provincial Government has announced its loyalty to King Brik II, and confirmed the province will not secede from Brikvania.

"We have informed King Brik II that we welcome the deployment of the Brikvanian Army into our province in the event of any conflict with the Kingdom of Lego," said Premier Georgio Brik from the Legolis Provincial Government.
