Wingo: War Can Start Anytime Now

Legos troops backed by tanks and armoured vehicles at the border with Brikvania.

Prime Minister Rito Wingo said that war with Brikvania could start anytime.

"I have called King Brik II and told him I want Legolis Province to be transferred to us within the next 48 hours. If he fails to do that, we will go to war," said Wingo.

More Legos troops were seen along the border with Brikvania, and the areas near the border have been declared off limits to all non-military personnel. There were reports that four Legos tanks were parked at the main border crossing with Brikvania.

The Brikvanian Army reported that several skirmishes along the border have taken place between the Legolis Province Home Guards and troops from the Kingdom of Lego.

"As of yesterday, 6 clashes were reported. There is no casualty so far," said a Brikvanian Army spokesman. 

The opposition Royal Party claimed that Wingo's effort to provoke war with Brikvania was to divert attention away from police investigation into his involvement in the attack at the Royal Palace on Christmas Eve.

"The Police has confirmed Wingo is a suspect. He is corrupted. He worked with the El Chapone gang to attack the King and the Royal Family. The war with Brikvania is a diversion", said an oppostion spokesman.

In response to the heighten tension, the United Nations (UN) peacekeepers in Brikvania has redeployed extra troops along the border with the Kingdom of Lego. "The UN peacekeepers are here to protect the security of Brikvania, as mandated by the UN Security Council," said Colonel Helmato, Commander of UN Forces in Brikvania (UNBRIK).

Two UNBRIK armoured vehicles with 20 troops were placed at the border crossing between Brikvania and the Kingdom of Lego.  They are tasked to block any movement of Legos vehicles into Brikvania.
